There are decades in which nothing happens, and then there are days dominated by sacred blood in Palestine, days of historical transformations, which are equivalent to decades and years.
The following is a translation of a Telegraph post detailing the significance of the “Unity of the Fields” operation.
The name “Unity of the Fields” was chosen by the Palestinian resistance as a response to zionist attempts at dividing the resistance. It’s also an announcement that the resistance committees have established a unified battle front across all of occupied Palestine.

Battle of the Unity of the Fields
It is important for us to know with certainty that the Battle of the Unity of Fields is anything but a casual confrontation; its name alone indicates that it is a battle that laid the groundwork for a new reality accompanied by a new understanding of resistance based on constant, continuous, and direct struggle against the enemy in Palestine.
Ziyad Al-Nakhalah, general secretary of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, has said, “If used correctly, an AK-47 is a strategic weapon.”
This can only mean that what the movement needs to do—as we have seen in the models of the resistance battalions of Jenin, Nablus and Tubas is to reactivate a plan that includes a large-scale confrontation with the enemy, to organize the accumulating resistance in the West Bank by embracing it, and finally training it to help it gain more professional and strategic value.
Bassam Al-Saadi, the imprisoned PIJ leader that has two martyred children and a martyred mother, embodies all of the aforementioned through his great role in organizing and turning the resistance in Jenin into an armed battalion with well-planned activities which in turn helps shape the marginalized, neglected resistance in the area.
Algerian War for Liberation as a Historical Example
This shaping has an unmatched value that historical experiences have taught us, most notably the Algerian War for Liberation of 1954 during which the martyr Al-Arbi Ben-M’hidi said, “Throw the revolution to the streets and the masses shall pick it up.”
“This [Algerian] revolution faced difficulties due to nonequivalence, a seige and embargo, and resulted in millions of martyred lives. Yet, out of all this, it triumphed over France despite all of its nuclear weapons and NATO support.”
The 7-year-long November Revolution of Algeria that overthrew the 132 years-long French occupation was unique because it gathered what was a fractioned political scene by modeling the resistance through an organized revolutionary activity in which different lines were fused together to form a single unified identity; that is, the struggle for national liberation by means of armed resistance.
This revolution faced difficulties due to nonequivalence, a seige and embargo, and resulted in millions of martyred lives. Yet, out of all this, it triumphed over France despite all of its nuclear weapons and NATO support.
The point is that victory is not measured by superficial standards like the number of “lives lost;” rather, a true victory is when your existence is preserved no matter what. Your mere presence is a warrior in this battle.
Organized Resistance Advances the Struggle
That the Islamic Jihad Movement avenged the assassination of its leaders and imposed curfews on the enemy, making the Movement the forefront of the battle alongside most other resistance groups-despite their modest abilities and resources in comparison to others is in itself a victory, especially considering that the enemy was rushing for a truce and begging for negotiations after it found itself coming under fire by the resistance and forced to succumb to their conditions.
The resistance showed immaculate organization and professionalism in its method of response, despite having one of its most important leaders martyred.
“…we can see how this leadership is an incredibly unique one in the Palestinian political scene, a leadership that does not sugarcoat anything: from presenting the struggle for liberation the way it truly is to diagnosing the tumor that is the zionist entity with all its weak points and how it functions and operates, all in order to develop the resistance’s tactics and organization through long-term practice.”
Thus, this advanced performance didn’t prove itself only by a swift, organized response, but also by the entirety of the Unity of Fields operation from its very beginning, in addition to the calculated sophistication and arrangement of the capabilities used and unities formed across the Palestinian resistance that were a part of the battle.
And here, we must mention the statement issued by the Al-Quds Brigades at the start of the battle: “all forces that are operating in the fields, at their head the special forces and the elite units, must be prepared until they receive the instructions that were previously arranged.”
As we noticed, no mobile weaponry was activated in the battle, and not all units were brought in to fight, which renders the claims that the resistance’s armarments were drained completely invalid.
Rather, on the top of that, such claims are no less similar to the enemy’s claims that assassinating our martyred leaders will hinder the resistance or push it back; clearly, the enemy has not learned its lesson from the martyrdom of Abbas Al-Musawi, Imad Mughniyeh and Haj Qassem Soleimini.
“Therefore, the defeatists and reformists that serve no better purpose than being weakening mouthpieces must know that this “ceasefire” obliged the enemy to respect certain conditions; this in itself is unprecedented in its historical importance.”
It’s worth noting that this battle-which is nothing short of a continuation of the Sword of Al-Quds battle of May 2021 and its accomplishments is not a casual battle the way the enemy wants to picture it in order to falsely present itself as the victorious.
For that the response on the malicious aggression that the enemy launched by assassinating leaders from the first ranks of the jihad movement was not a mere luxury for the resistance but existentially necessary to stop once and for all the assassinations that if dared to continue will cause severe damages to the resistance.
Therefore, the defeatists and reformists that serve no better purpose than being weakening mouthpieces must know that this “ceasefire” obliged the enemy to respect certain conditions; this in itself is unprecedented in its historical importance.
“…it’s worth noting that the growing tendency among Palestinians to be more united in their resistance by armed means, and this is perhaps the greatest gain that we witnessed as a result of this battle.”
The fact that this armed confrontation between Gaza and the temporary zionist entity resulted in the liberation of a number of captives is a clear demonstration of how historically heroic it is, and it will surely lay ground to the way that future battles will be executed.
Moreover, it is uniquely important because it has distinguished itself from all previous operations that liberated our captives in that the resistance took part in exchange deals in which there were years-long negotiations that may or may not succeed, or worse, may end up in martyrdom.
In addition to all of this, it’s worth noting that the growing tendency among Palestinians to be more united in their resistance by armed means, and this is perhaps the greatest gain that we witnessed as a result of this battle.
With undoubted certainty, this achievement will help end the internal divisions and defeatism that the enemy has for decades been feeding tooth and nail.
The general secretary of the Islamic Jihad Movement has declared that the “ceasefire” will be called off if the enemy dares to overlook even one condition that is presented to it, and he added that, considering the untrustworthy history of the zionist entity, we should bet on entering a new fight in most cases, indicating a lack of confidence in the zionist enemy to stay true to its word.
With this in mind, we can see how this leadership is an incredibly unique one in the Palestinian political scene, a leadership that does not sugarcoat anything: from presenting the struggle for liberation the way it truly is to diagnosing the tumor that is the zionist entity with all its weak points and how it functions and operates, all in order to develop the resistance’s tactics and organization through long-term practice.
Palestine is Central to Every Arab Struggle
The Palestinian’s struggle towards liberation against Zionism is, without any exaggeration, an existential struggle. It is manifested in an unbalanced war against an entity that is unconditionally supported by western colonial-imperialist bodyguards.
“Palestine is not only central, in the words of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, to every Arab struggle, but it is so also central on an international level given the zionist entity’s positioning and what it continues to offer to the imperial core.”
Billions of dollars worth of weapons and support are given to protect their geopolitical interests in the region. This is part of a never-ending game of wealth concentration in the imperial core by means of concentrating misery in its peripheries.
In a global struggle such as this one, every experience has led us to the conclusion that the radical line is the only viable way to bring about any sensible results.
Every achievement, every gain, even in periods in which the confrontation takes on a deterrent nature imposed by the enemy that increases defensive stability (such as that imposed Hezbollah did after its divine victory in July 2006), was paid by the price of the sacrifices of the martyrs whose blood flowed altogether to pave the way for salvation. This quantitative accumulation constituted a qualitative shift in the equation.
Palestine is not only central, in the words of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, to every Arab struggle, but it is so also central on an international level given the zionist entity’s positioning and what it continues to offer to the imperial core.
And given our position, too, we are doomed to suffer from eternal misery as long as this entity breathes. The blood of our martyrs and the will of those who chose the way of he who said, “far away from us shall be disgrace” proved to us that this entity is weaker than a spider’s web and an “illusion made of dust”.
Resistance Grows Across the Region with Every Battle
This temporary entity withdrew from Lebanon humiliated by Hezbollah in 2000, and the entity’s tyranny was again broken in 2006. Gaza continually proves to the world the lie of this entity’s invincibility with every war it dares to launch on the strip.
“Prayer in Al-Quds” is no longer just a motto that is meant to excite our imaginations. It is now, more than ever, a slogan that is built on objective foundations and a material reality that exposes the vile entity in front of a people that, through daily confrontation, refuse annihilation.”
Furthermore, the zionist entity is incapable of hindering the indefatigable and inexorable tide of resistance that is supported by an axis whose raison d’etre is to challenge the cancer of American hegemony, which too is going through its own existential challenges that keep it from expanding as a major power as it previously did unabated. None of the aforementioned results would have seen the light of day if not for sacrifices upon sacrifices in blood and wealth that complement each other.
“Prayer in Al-Quds” is no longer just a motto that is meant to excite our imaginations. It is now, more than ever, a slogan that is built on objective foundations and a material reality that exposes the vile entity in front of a people that, through daily confrontation, refuse annihilation.
This is a reality in which this colonial entity has to endure precision rockets from Lebanon, a reality in which it has to face an army of more than 100,000 trained fighters that await martyrdom left to us by Imad Mughniyeh, a reality in which it has to face the steadfastness and resillience of Syria in the face of a universally-waged attempt to subjugate it and exclude it from its role of Arabist resistance and core role in the axis of resistance.
“The seriousness of the Yemeni threat is such that the temporary entity deployed air defense systems in the south of occupied Palestine in Umm Al-Rashrash in order to deter it.”
And we are in front of millions of Yemenis who find themselves holding on more than ever to Palestine as their guiding compass under all the murderous siege and aggressions that the zionist settler colony’s weapons were complicit in and enable, knowing well that the Yemeni steadiness is nothing short of a menace to its existence.
In fact, Yemen’s attachment to Palestine and the steadiness of their compass has only grown after all of this aggression. The seriousness of the Yemeni threat is such that the temporary entity deployed air defense systems in the south of occupied Palestine in Umm Al-Rashrash in order to deter it.
And here we have Iraq, Iraq that seeks to expel every last American from its soil. Iraq, accompanied with Iran that, just few decades ago, cut ties with its imperial past that was defined by its American lordship, and has instead opened a new chapter in which it is the very vein that gives resistance a shelter to flow in, creating the most beautiful picture of fraternity and alliance, that of the martyrdom of Haj Qassim Soleimani in Iraq by American warplanes was until this moment its most heroic frame.
Anti Resistance Propaganda Can’t Hide the Nature of the Enemy
“…the entity is a settler-colony whose goal is to annihilate an entire people.”
In this “to be or not to be” existential struggle, presenting the Palestinian resistance as some extension of the political ambitions of Iran in the region is no more than a dirty falsification that is spread to manufacture popular consent. Without any doubt, this lie finds its roots in books written with pens that use Gulf oil as its ink, the same pens that are working day and night to minimize the role of the resistance’s rockets while hyper-focusing on the micro-possibility that they might miss their target.
The enemy has also used this line of propaganda to avoid any claim that proves its deliberate targeting of children, claims that prove it even by international military standards as an immoral child-killing army. In all cases, these standards do not concern us considering the fact that, whether the entity targets children or not, the entity is a settler-colony whose goal is to annihilate an entire people.
Conclusion
In the midst of a full-fledged war waged on humanity on all fronts, the centers of capital are plundering society from its historical and cultural heritage by planting individualistic and selfish outlooks, attempting to fashion humanity into no more than sheep with no sense of dignity that it can protect.
And as our martyr Motahhari has said, self-sacrifice for a higher cause remains the most honorable position one can take in our global south, not simply through some radical romantic lens, but as a cultural value in which the individual is elevated to the highest stages of perfection in order to give with all free will their own blood as a source of life to the masses in a battle for survival, instead of signing death certificates and living a life under the boot of slavery that grants nothing but a humiliating death.
